Material & Construction

Made from ABS plastic with four bonded layers, this sheet offers noticeably more rigidity than single-ply alternatives. The layered construction also gives you that distinctive edge detail — a hallmark of vintage-style black pickguards — when bevelled or routed. The top surface has a smooth, gloss-black finish.

Why 4-Ply?

Compared to 1-ply material, 4-ply is better suited to larger pickguard shapes that need to hold their form without flexing, and to builds where the edge detail is part of the aesthetic. It's the standard choice for many Stratocaster, Jazzmaster, and bass pickguard styles.

Size & Cutting Guidance

At 45cm × 29cm, this sheet is large enough for most standard electric guitar and bass pickguard templates. Use a scroll saw, jigsaw, or sharp craft knife for cutting. A router with a flush-trim bit gives the cleanest edge; finish with 400-grit wet-and-dry paper for a smooth bevel.
