Old Timer 'Duo Coil' noiseless Jazz bass pickup

The Duo Coil is a two coiled pickup which functions like a humbucker - but instead of having two coils under each string, it has separate coils under the G and D strings and the A and E strings. This means that it still sounds like the standard single coil Jazz bass pickup. The Duo Coil is wound around a set of alnico 5 rod magnets. The strong alnico 5 material transfers a strong magnetic field onto the strings, keeping your tone sharp and lively, and the output strong. 

These are a drop on replacement for any Jazz bass that takes standard dimension pickups. These are a great upgrade from the cheap ceramic pickups found on beginner level basses (for instance, many Squiers). And when excess background noise is an issue, they can improve the performance in much more expensive Jazz basses.
