Artec Blues Overdrive

The Blues Overdrive is a simple pedal that does exactly what it says on the tin. It simply provides a push at the front end of your amp to push a clean amp into a sizzle, or a distorted amp just a little bit harder. Overdrives are almost a necessity in front of many high gain amps to trim off a little bit of the extra flab from the bass end, tightening up the tone.

This pedal has 4 simple controls - the level control is essentially the overall volume of the pedal. The gain level controls the saturation of the tone - the pedal itself never gets into a heavy distortion, but it adds a little bit of hair to the tone entering the amp. The two miniature knobs in the middle are a two band EQ section, allowing the tone to be shaped in the treble and bass frequencies.

It has two 1/4 inch jacks on the side - one for the input, one for the output. It runs off 9v DC regulated supply and can also take an internal 9v battery. When the pedal is not in operation, it is true bypass.
